What is the point of getting other retro handhelds when you already own a Steam Deck?
>>729210043Portability.
>>729210043I gift the really cheap ones to people I don't like in hope it'll burn their houses down
Steam decks are garbage.I'd rather use my smartphone to play games.
>>729211156>spend $400 on pocket size supercomputer that can play most modern games>"hmm, but it doesn't fit in my skinny jeans' front pocket.">"I better go ahead and spend another $400 on a raspberry pi with a 3D printed gba shell"
>>729210043I have a Trimui Brick for pocket RPG's, my deck for everything else
>>729210043There is no point in owning either type of device because you can just play video games on your PC and when you're outside the house you can just enjoy touching grass or just listen to shit on your phone.
>>729214370Based. Handhelds are shit.
>>729211351You don't know what you're talking about, dumbass There's many types of handhelds at varying prices and sizesSomething like miyoo mini flip costs less than 100 bucks and can fit in your pocket, making it the perfect device to play some GBA and even PS1 gamesNot every handheld is trying to be like Steam deck
Steam Deck works better as a portable box and Valve knows that and that's why they put R/D into Steam Machine. That you can pick it up and play it without any further geegaw is kind of a perk more than a selling point.Obviously emulator handhelds are meant to go in your fucking pocket and not need a dedicated case for transportation.
>>729210043>what is the bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla blathats you
>>729210043Portability and form factor.
>>729210043There is no point to retro handhelds at all, they're ewaste. The only thing keeping lap devices from being optimal portable devices is the fact that lap screens are sub-optimal, but this is solved by portable screens and VR.
