If a game does not have a built in % counter it was never intended to be 100% completed and you are dumb for critiquing a game for its optional content.

For example, gamers will say that Super Mario Sunshine is a bad game because of the blue coins, but you are never intended to get all of the blue coins nor is there any reward for getting all 120 shrines. Judging the game for something that you never have to do is plain retarded. Discuss.

Correct. The game only requires you to get the 7th shine of every stage so you can head to the final boss. There isn't any incentive to get more than 50 shines since everything you unlock happens before that.

Botw and the korok seeds were definitely designed with the same idea in mind. The developer literally gives you a steaming pile of shit if you're dumb enough to go through the hassle and collect 900 of these repetitive little shits. You get all the inventory upgrades at around 400 seeds but autists will see it as a mandatory item to collect for the artificial 100% goal that brings no reward and then say it's bad design.
