Two of your companions were in fucking Hell and apparently were both captured and tadpoled while the Nautiloid was high in the air, actively under attack by both Githyanki and devils.

Like you are some dragon hunter, track one to a town, it gets attacked by the dragon and the local blacksmith(fighter), alchemist(healer), veteran guard(fighter) and hunter(ranger) join you to fight the dragon.
