All things considered, are DD and SOJ still worth playing if I know they suck and I have played all others AA games? They seem like a waste of time.Takumi not working on them is not an excuse because the two AAI are good.

>>729220768The hate for 5 and 6 is massively overblown. 5 is just "more wacky Ace Attorney adventures" with less of a focus on continuity or overarching plot. It was meant to be a soft reboot and does that just fine. It has its moments and one legit interesting twist.SOJ is legit good and top 3 Ace Attorney. Final case is epic and has all the turns and twists you could want. Apollo is an actual character now and the visuals are a lot nicer.Also you have to remember that the English localizer (Janet Tsu) has been the same across all the games, so the tone and dialogue is very consistent. There isn't this massive gulf in writing quality that folks would have you believe since it's all basically rewritten by the same person anyway.

The best part of the Ace Attorney games was figuring out what happened as the case unfolded and then construing your narrative through finding contradiction and presenting evidence.TGAA is almost entirely fluff when it comes to the investigation because Sholmes just comes in at various times, crafts a story that is 90% accurate, and then all you get to do is find minor (or major) inconsistencies. It really isn't fun being the 2nd smartest guy in the room in a game where you should be the smartest. The trials are fucking abysmal. A juror system that seems interesting at first only to realize that it's completely rigged to give the illusion of suspense. The jurors have information pertitent to the case and often necessary to prove the defendant is not guilty. The game is a total slogfest and any semblance of accomplishment is whisked away by how much is out of your control.
