Now that digital distribution is king and the cost of accommodation is on the customer, they'll happily leave things uncompressed and put out patches that double the install size to correct minor glitches.
Storage isn't a big deal when you have gigabit internet and can just redownload the game

Yakuza 0 was only 20GB but the new version is 100GB but it's essentially still the same game with no graphical improvement or anything, so I do not understand the reason for such bloated size.
