I have Resonance of Fate, Kubinashi Recollection, and Rolling Star on my current cart, but I am considering dropping the indies and getting them at some point next year, and purchase some western games to replace them. I am currently considering:1. Psychonauts, which I've never played and people say is good.2. Fable. Can a controller be used in The Lost Chapters or is Anniversary better for that? Is the game good with keyboard and mouse?3. Shadowman Remastered, people tend to say it's similar to Zelda games, is that true?4. I just bought ninja saviors so far, I already have plenty of games i want to play right now.However, a thought occurred to me the other day. Are there any survival games that aren't just walking around picking up sticks and looting containers? I feel like a lot of popular games these days is just walking around and looting things. A lot of posts I see are like open world rpgs and stuff like that, and nonsurprise that's just walking around a looting containers. Like when I was younger I used to enjoy orienteering and occasionally I'd also go lightweight camping in the pine barrens with minimal supplies. Like are there any games about the actual technical aspects of survival and not just some amoeba brained hunter-gatherer instinct stimulators? I feel stuff like Unreal World and CDDA is also a very poor example of this that gets it all wrong, those are just picking things up simulators.
