Nier games were always shit but they somehow lucked out with Zoomers and became popular again because 2B is hot. They are not gonna release a shitty game and make Zoomers lose interet in 2B. They will just release crossover skins for infinity.

He wasn't joking all the dozens of times he said as long as Square is paying him he's ok with working on anything. He's not a victim. How many devs left their studios to make something new because they basically got promoted out of the actual game making part of the job they enjoyed the most? That's not Yoko Taro. Square is happy milking the character while doing low effort trash and he's happy to get paid for doing nothing.
