What does /v/ think of modern 2d run and gun/beat em up arcade sloppa?
>>
ideal for AI to make it.
we'll see a million of these sloppers soon enough

I like them. Cosmic Invasion could have used a bit more depth though, I feel like the characters were slightly gutted for the tag mechanic.
>>
they are a scam for gen X

nu-uncslop for crusty old nostalgic boomers

There's something really uncanny about how this game looks
Was it all 3D models rotoscoped and pixelized later or something? Real pixel art games didn't look like this

Most 2d beat em ups were ass. The simpsons one was one of the few good ones.

there are plenty of good beat em ups. The Punisher is one of the best games ever made

So far not a single one has properly imitated Shredder's Revenge, it's all half efforts. It's not like it's a real 16-bit game with hardware restrictions and a tight release window, so I don't really get why they even bother with a "just OK" game.

Stop calling everything slop.

I think it's pretty reminiscent of Judge Dredd on SNES, just based on that screenshot.
