Why does that attract people anyways? Whenever I come across unintentional mechanics like that it totally sours me on a game, like the curtain has fallen in a stageplay and what appeared to be an intricate, well designed system was just a total facade made by idiots any enjoyment is coincidental. Video games made a critical error in their history the moment they became any more mechanically complex than chess.
