Play Bing Bing Wahoo's, it's good for you.

So when my mom banned me from video games as a child for burning out on homework, she was actively making things worse? Because it sure as hell never improved anything, it just made me seek different forms of escapism.

I know that feeling very very well.

>having hobbies reduces burnout
did we really need a study for this?

You're like 20 years behind the times.
That article is actually just a paid ad for Nintendo.
You are probably still one of the people who calls people "schizo" because they believe in true things like the government putting tranny hormones in the college water supply (Operation Tranny).
Lol.

You know, like Yoshi's Island, Yoshi's Story, Yoshi's Wooly World, etc.

Always. If it 'seems obvious' then you're just running an assumption until you have some studies done to verify it, if you aren't going to test theories then you're building an entire understanding on nothing more than feelings which will eventually collapse when it turns out to be wrong about things.

That ad is somehow less subtle than food industry crony sciencism.

Like Reindeer Games but with Yoshi

>no limited time shop bombarding you when you turn the game on
>no battlepass you need to grind out every month
>no constant endgame grind where you keep your rank up
Makes sense to me. You just bounce around and then quit at World 4 because it gets too hard for the average kid.

In a way, maybe it helped me. Because my imagination had to do a lot of heavy lifting. I read a lot of books, and I wrote, I drew, I made up entire fictional scenarios for tiny 1 square lego blocks and Gundam action figures using Final Fantasy Tactics-like imaginary gameplay lmao
I started making a game this year and I think having that foundation helped me with the creative aspects
I used to have reoccurring dreams where vidya was just out of my reach lol

>doing [recreational activity] reduces risk of burnout
