Stop being one of these schizos that whine about ""kernel level anti-cheat""". Only the technologically illiterate think this is a bad thing.

>you are now aware that all your drivers are kernel level software
>>
quit cheating
I bet your name is Pidor or Chang
>>
>>729237872
its a bad thing because these anti cheats are usually awful on performance because they are made by tards
>>
>>729237765
>Spyware built into your smartphone/PC OS is good. You're not a criminal, right?
>Anticheat is good thoughever? Are you a cheater OP?
We are here. Coming soon:
>You don't want the brain chip, anon? You're not a thought criminal, are you?
>Just accept the Mark, goyim.
Use GrapheneOS for your smartphone and Linux for your PC. Do not use anything Google, use a VPN that doesn't keep logs. Use a mail that is private and doesn't scan your data. I hate the Antichrist btw.
>>729237872
Silence, jeet.
>>
>>729238443
actually slippery slope is a logical fallacy anon
>>
>>729237872
>Saying this while posting India goddess GIF
DO NOT REDEEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
>>
>>729238051
If performance is your concern and not the kernel anti-cheat then you can just try the game for 2 hours and refund
>>
>>729238546

Attempting to dismiss arguments because you believe them to fall under a logical fallacy is a logical fallacy.
>>
>>729237725
>I don't like kernel anticheat
>should I buy the hardware with global kernel anticheat
Are you stupid?
>>
>>729238735
you don't have an argument
>cheaters out of my games = good
>mark of the beast denoting my open loyalty to satan = not good
hope i cleared that up for you
>>
>Game devs would rather pay hundreds of millions to a spyware company than just bring back dedicated servers.
Grim.
>>
>>729238809
I don't want kernel level anticheat on my PC because I'm letting a third party decide for me that they're burying something deep into my system software that wasn't there before. Yeah consoles have deep level anticheat too but that's because the OS was written that way, how stupid do you have to be to not see the difference?
>>
>>729238735
That assumes that someone claiming a possible scenario where a slippery slope could exist is enough to validate the argument by itself.
>>
>>729241349
>but that's because the OS was written that way,
how does that mitigate the problem at all? being designed from scratch to be spyware is in fact worse
>>
>>729238809
Are you fucking retarded? The difference is the device with global kernel access won't be the one with all your personal files on it.
>>
>>729237725
>>don't play it
>But why?
the opportunity cost is high, and you can play other, better games instead
>>
>>729241727
What is it spying on? What are you using your console for that isn't already known to the manufacturer? It's a closed ecosystem, you knew that coming in.

You use your PC for a lot more than gaming and potentially expose that by having deep-seated software beyond the reach of most user space applications.
>>
>>729241898
>You use your PC for a lot more than gaming
Speak for yourself.

Good to know.

only the crossover of technologically illiterate and terminally shit taste believe your freedom is worth giving up for some mediocre matchmaker slop
>>
>>729242042
you shitpost on 4chan from your gaming pc? don't you even have a laptop or some shit?
>>
>>729241840
You didn't elaborate why not just getting the game on console as the alternative isn't viable in the even the PC version's terms are not agreeable.
>>
switch to linux and stop crying about it
the sooner you do it the sooner all the cuck slop spyware makers will give you a version that cannot leave its cucked little container
>>
>>729242239
i'm assuming the reader is familiar with the terrible user experience every console provides.
>>
>>729237872
only a tech illiterate/v/eamonkey would install kernel level malware to play live service slop,c you don't even know what an operating system kernel is
>>
>>729242684
Well, regardless, better games may exist but with the extreme thinness in terms of present day releases for this specific style of game I have in mind most of the great options are found in the past and I want something new.
>>
>>729238546
Labeling an argument a "slippery slope fallacy" without addressing the argument is a Fallacy-Fallacy.
You're claiming a fallacy when it's not an actual fallacy.
Slippery slope is a form of argument, not a logical argument. As in it is content/context dependent. So it can sometimes be true, and sometimes be false. This is based on the information in the arguments structure.

On the other hand, you not addressing the argument and labeling it as a fallacy when it is not, is as I said: a Fallacy-Fallacy.
You're trying to shit down discussion by incorrectly labeling an argument a fallacy, in order to avoid having to interact with the argument. .

>>
>kernel level anti-cheat
So run a vm?
>>
>>729244368
Brother the last mario kart I played didn't even have a seperate slider for music volume and sfx volume, consoles think they're Apple; built for retards by retards.
>>
>>729237725
Maybe don't cheat? Ever thought of that you big pissbaby?
>>
any1 else having trouble launching a game?

>>
>>729244940
Projecting much? It's gen z who cheat all the time because they can't be bothered to actually learn a game due to their constant need for a dopamine fix. Also telling someone to commit suicide on the internet is attempted manslaughter if you do not remove your post within the next five minutes I will report it to the authorities.

>>
>>729237725
There is not a single good game that uses Kernel level anticheat. Prove me wrong.
>>
>>729237725
I bought both Bfg armadas recently. My bad, I missed the description when buying the second one, but after finishing first game a week later I saw this crap on splash and immediately refunded bfg2 and mentioned anti cheat in the reason field.
>>
>>729237872
Like poetry. Every single indian anime poster use aqua image and spergs out the most retard shit possible.
>>
>>729247064
Milestone S.r.l. generally makes good racing games, in the very least it's something worth putting your faith into. And with no one else willing to take up the reins of making a decent racing game it gives this game a strong argument for being worth a try.

But I don't want the PC version if those are the terms of playing it.
>>
>>729237872
my drivers are open source lmao
>>
>>729247786
Open source kernel level anticheat can be a thing too. Just because it's open source doesn't mean it has to respect your boundaries, it just means they can't get away with hiding things since everyone would have access to the source code of how it operates.
>>
>>729248928
it'll never be a thing because that would make it easier to subvert
>>
>>729237872
>Only the technologically illiterate think kernel-level anti-cheat is a good thing
fixed
