There's no need to pit one game against another, especially when their creators are on good terms and they fill different niches.
>>729245578I would say no on the similar gameplay/gunplay/swordplay. The gunplay isnt even similar one bit as there is ammo reserves in stellar blade unlike nier where bullets fly endlessly. Boss fights are not even on the same level with each other with nier having a variety of ways to fight bosses while stellar blade has basically melee as the focal point in combat. The traversal of maps is definitely not the same as the nier camera changes from a bit of side-scrolling 3Dish type camera to regular. Thr swordplay for stellar is combo based and depends on timing to hit crits, nier just has some slash em up style attacking. Overall its a good attempt to try and paint the games as the same but theyre definitely not

I'm like halfway through the game I think and am enjoying it, but have just arrived at a second fucking horror shooter zone, and just immediately decided to end my play session.One zone like that in a action game is a cute gimmick level, multiple is giving me Hideki Kamiya unending gimmick slop vibes. I get action game devs think we need something to break up the action which is why we get the DMC platforming crap, but Stellar Blade already has the open world zones and quests.
