Not really. None of the big WEGs have seen an update in a year, and the smaller ones are still doing 5 minute updates every couple months. I think everyone was expecting AI to make development times dramatically shorter but it's had no effect. At this point the only thing that will save WEGs is Patreon and SS cutting them off so that developers will be forced to put full games on Steam instead of milking yearly updates.
