Trvth Nvke: If you don't like Souls PvP you are a tourist to the series. The entire reason these games became popular in the first place was because some autistic japanese dudes would invade you with scraping spear and make you fear for your life which was extremely innovative for the time (and arguably still is considering there's virtually no 3rd person action RPGs with seamless diegetic multiplayer). Hunting scrubs and being the hunted scrub is what these games are all about. The PvE was always just a fun warmup for the actual game to begin. From is actually returning to their roots with The Duskbloods, and that's a good thing.

Go play a real fighting game
>>
K. Why do I care?
>>

>they split PvP and PvE into separate games
It's over bro. Seamless one shot Fromsoft's design philosophy regarding integrated PvP outside of arenas. It might be for the best, maybe they will place the proper amount of enemies again without worrying about a theoretical invader at all times

Souls pvp is the perfect midwit bait for people too dumb to play an actual game
>brooo that weapon art has so much ending bro punish it
20 minutes playing tekken they'd be crying

Fighting games are a meme for brown kids. They should have died after the pixel era.

pathetic

No? Invasions were always a side feature, one you could easily avoid the whole game but just staying hollow. The popularity of souls games mostly comes from the aesthetic (dark, depressing "prepare to die" etc), the bosses (even though they weren't actually that good) and the level design.

For Honor is better.

PvP in Iron Keep Bridge was peak
>>
>>729247726
That argument only works against duel shitters. Invader Chad's don't care about fair or balanced engagements.

LMFAOOO

Invasions in Souls games are only relevant for the first week of the game's release. No body knows what is OP. People invade just to be assholes. People summon white phantoms because they can't beat the boss. After the honeymoon period is over, it's just tryhards and PvP autists.
Maybe you can capture that magic when the game gets a big sale to capture new players.

I liked it in DeS and DaS. After that it's been kinda ass to be honest.
In ER I wasn't even sure how to initiate PVP for the longest time and when I did figure it out I tried it twice and then never again.
>>
Some of the most fun I’ve ever had in a game is beating ds1 at sl1 and then invading people in undead parish with +15 gear and 99 soft humanity
>>
i just don't understand a certain thing about souls pvp
>you invade
the host and their summons are the most invincible things in the world
>you get invaded
a pathetic wimp that dies by looking at it

every single time for 3 games
why
>>
>>729247607
If souls niggers actually played the games for PvP they would agree 2 is the best
>>
>>729250618
Ds3 was the only one I didn’t like. Ds2 kind of sucked because of soul memory but er was decent. Ds1 and bloodborne were the top two from an invaders perspective imo
>>
>>729250780
>get one shotted by Climax and Affinity
ebin
>>
>>729247607
nah pvp sucks balls, it's too chaotic to be considered actually competitive, and most of the time you just get killed by memeshit as a result. however, I will say that sometimes I can enjoy it, when fags aren't just spamming said meta-build-memeshit and try niche shit for the sake of it. and no, I'm not saying this as a fight club fag, most of the pvp i've ever done was "out in the wild"
>>
I only liked PvP in DeS when it was fresh and DaS1 when I was unemployed. Didn't do too much for the other games, just fought back when invaded but nothing serious. PvP was dead by the time I got to trying BB. I hear Elden Ring is even a worse chug and gank affair than anything before it so I never tried it.
>>
>>729251013
>fight clubs
For unironic faggots, they're the biggest salt mines on Earth. I prefer being ganked than fighting a duel.
>>
>>729247607
Only DS1 had good PvP
>>
>>729247607
I dont have pvp because i torrented it and it doesnt have pvp so yeah i just completed the games (1-ER) without pvp its quite sad but honestly i dont care at this point i have dark souls fatigue

lolno. DS1 forest pvp was aids, I'm glad it's dead
>>
>>729248765
No, its popularity comes from people wanting to pretend they're good at hard games hyping it up.
>>
>>729251815
That's why it was good

I remember iron bridge fight clubs.

It's fine to enjoy your minigame, but overstating its importance like this is just delusional
>>
Oh no, some retarded anon thinks with thousands of hours across the series (DS1+2+3+Bloodborne+ER) I'm a tourist to the series just because I don't like the objectively dogshit pvp part.
I don't know how I will ever cope with this. Oh well.
