ONE NOTHING WRONG WITH ME
RIP the Master Race:born 1981died 2026
5090 is going to be the next 1080 Ti because it will only get worse. People will look back say man remember when GPUs were only $2000 for a flagship?
>>729248185Wh aren't we rising in the hunter's of millions to fight a war like none have ever seen? Why arnt we committing a slaughter that will be spoken of in legends until the end of days?
PC Vegans eternal pain.
Should I just go ahead and jump ship to a console and start building a new library there? I don't want to be trapped on pc with no new hardware in the future in case my pc inevitably dies.
>>729248692gamers can only upvote, you cant expect them to go outside and change things
>>729248185Good riddance. Fully integrated systems are the future.
>>729248692For what? This is what you voted for? Also you have that backlog of pirated games anyways and isn't 1080p good enough? Why do you need a 5070?
>>729248903Oh yeah I love soldered on non-upgradable SSDs and RAM. Give me more of that please.
>>729248692because online outrage doesn't matter, the games that get shitted on the most like ubisoft call of duty and fifa also sell the most, remember all the outrage of the switch 2 and how it sold amazingly despite all this? same thing, boycotting has never fucking worked
>>729248185>NVIDIA graphic cards retailers will start using Thunderdome rules>to PC fags enter, one PC fag leaves (with card)they can stream this shit for extra $$$
>steam is down>go on /v/ to see if anyone else is having issues>see thisyep this fucking hobby is over

>>729248981I don't see anyone complaining about soldered VRAM on GPU.
>>729248982This is basically because they are two distinct subspecies of "humans". Actual humans who act and think and feel. Who cry out in pain when things hurt them, who do most of the communication you see online. And then there is a mindless hard of soulless cattle who simply endlessly do what they are programed to do. Flesh and blood chatgtp bots who consume without thought or rebellion
>>729249102Now that you mention it, why can't VRAM be modular?
>>729249102The chinese that need to resolder 4090s certainly do. But really only because it hasn't been a problem until recent times and now we don't have a choice. If it was always standard then you'd absolutely have people complain.
>>729249307it can. techjesus showed how the chinese solder more all the time
>>729248185>he kept buying nvida>after fermi >after physx>after hair works>after fluid flex>after 3.5>after shadow play was feature stripped>after dlss was locked to each model seriesLate to the party kid, you've missed the R9nano, rx480, vega line, 6800xt and now the 9070xt.
WAIT chads won. Console chads won.Vegans cried.
>>729249513Nano was a joke. 4GB for a flagship was a terrible idea.
>>729248692only gamers retarded enough to fight a war that ultimately will result in the industry they so love to take up the ass become worse than it is. you won't understand this now, probably never since you're a retard consumer, but nvidia backing away from consumer hardware is a good thing, they're implicitly doing gamers a favor in the long run. you don't need better hardware, you've never needed better hardware, you've needed better software and software have some 30 years of overpowered hardware to catch up to, you'll be fine.
Remember when everyone made fun of the 1080Ti for being $700 and now a couple years later people are parroting saying it's the best GPU of all time and unironically buying $700 "midrange" and $1200 "great value" GPUs in droves
>>729249706>HBM ram>Single slot>4096 bit memory bus>flagship gpus today only have 256 bit>take up 3 slots>ancient GDDR You literally have no idea what you missed out on. HBM gpus are fucking amazing
>>729250089IDK about that but anyone who bought an 8GB VRAM GPU had their money stolen lmao. Obsolete since 2020. There's a reason Valve says 70% of gaming PCs on Steam are inferior to the Steam Machine, VRAM starvation for starters. Steam Machine is weaker than the 2020 PS5 16GB VRAM console. And weaker than the 12GB VRAM Switch 2. Having more VRAM is the difference between playing at higher resolutions and having higher quality textures, in addition to less texture streaming glitches associated with UE5 lazy programmers side effect. $400 for 8GB VRAM GPUs has been robbery for 5 years lmao.
>>729248692because youre a phoneposting homo
>>729248185Surely this means that it is AMD's time to shine.Right?
>>729248903Strix Halo is fucking awesome but I wish it was more mainstream, it gets fuck all support and you have to order some chinese handheld to be able to use it. AMD is bad enough with GPU driver updates for their APUs already. Maybe with Medusa Halo it'll be better since they want to use it as both a halo CPU and a discrete GPU and will have 24CU versions.>>729248981>Oh yeah I love soldered on non-upgradable SSDs and RAM.It has 32GB to 128GB RAM on a 256-bit bus, and depending on board type it can have m.2 or SATA ports. Also idles at a few watts only, unlike every other Ryzen which idle at 50W. Honestly this thing would make for the ultimate APU if it didn't cost $2000 AND IF YOU COULD ACTUALLY BUY IT ANYWHERE.>>729249307Bandwidth and signal integrity issues, plus lack of unified GPU form factors. We'd need motherboards with GPU sockets and memory slots and 1000W power delivery capability. Plus room for coolers on them. Basically an entirely new form factor. Would be really fucking cool if you could put NH-D15s on RTX Titan cards mind you. Some madman tried it and it cooled the card better than the stock cooler.
