why aren't they possible in real life? They can make the physics work in a simulation, so why can't they make it work in real life?
>>
if I can have sex in videogames why cant I have sex irl
>>
>>729248530
Because youre not trying hard enough. If you absolutely wanted to have sex you could stick your dick into a vagina right now.
>>
>>729248453
Because the answer is neither A or B because portals existing create a relativity paradox.
>>
>>729248453
Sorry to break it to you, but the "simulation" is just an illusion. It's cameras and setting the players position. Literally just teleporting the player to wherever the portal was. It's not physics
>>
>>729248662
right now? where? I don't see one
>>
>>729248453
closest thing we have in theory are worm holes but they would work a little differently.
>>
>>729248453
green energy fanatics are preventing portals from being invented
>>
>>729248453
It's B.
>>
>>729249030
This is why those stupid a or b threads are retarded. Make something up who fucking cares. Or look at the game code if you want to find out exactly what would happen. I've never understood it.

If infinite lives are possible in video games, why aren't they possible in real life? They can make the physics work in a simulation, so why can't they make it work in real life?
>>
>>729248453
They're still trying to figure out A vs B
>>
>>729248530
you're supposed to imitate the protagonist in your hentai games, anon
>>
>>729249572
you do have infinite lives irl, but you don't have memory of dying because you're reset back to a few minutes before the moment you died. However, you are given the instinctual knowledge to avoid whatever killed you before without consciously realizing it. You probably died 5 times driving home from work today and you don't even know it
>>
>>729250576
The debate is solved and has been for a decade. Aniggers are just too retarded to comprehend why it's B.
>>
Technology of today is based on efficiency because we don't have unlimited electricity. If power were abundant, so much excess electricity that you're wasting electricity if you aren't using it, then I'm sure you'd see a lot of crazy new inventions popping up overnight. I wouldn't be surprised if science already figured out a lot of stuff like portals, but you'd need such an unfathomable amount of electricity to make it happen that it's "impossible."
>>
>>729248453
Congratulations! You've asked the dumbest question anyone has ever asked on /v/!

More lies from big-vagina

look behind you
>>
They do have them irl. How else do you think we could have gotten to the moon
>>
>>729248453
They do work in real life. The portal machines are all owned by the Jews; they use them to travel to their secret subterranean weather control facilities.

>If power were abundant, so much excess electricity that you're wasting electricity if you aren't using it, then I'm sure you'd see a lot of crazy new inventions
Infinite electricity would only result in technology becoming insanely inefficient, similar to how improvements in computing and memory have only resulted shitty jeetcode that would not be tolerated in less powerful systems. Look at LLMs, a costly, obscenely inefficient, inelegant solution to the AI question, that would not be pursued if not for access to immense resources. Overabundance allows mediocre ideas to thrive and to drown out profound, elegant ones that would stand the test of time.
