I catch myself brainstorming ideas a lot at work. I had a few concepts for a game inspired by Adventure Time.It stars two brothers. A Human knight and an Elf sorcerer. The Knight is honorable and righteous in his pursuit to make people happy and safe, but inexperienced. The sorcerer is a lot more aloof and mischievous, with a good heart but a selfish streak.The world they inhabit is just known as the Wild-Lands. A swirling maelstrom of floating islands surrounded by an impenetrable stormy cloud layer. the true ground is miles below, consumed with dangerous energy of unknown origins.The boys fly around in their home, a wind sailor, that they use to explore the untapped lands and ruins as they piece together the origins of the Wild-Lands, what came before, and what it's fate might be.Anything can happen in a world of magic like this. Volcanos that spew out snow, a giant dog that can snore so strongly that it can uproot a house, a cult based around giving candy to babies, an order of dark knights who raid the lands for no other reason than to pour water into people's socks.Also, I'm a finn x marceline fan, so of course there's a hot morally-ambiguous demon girl who our hero manages to bring to the side of not always being mean.As for the gameplay, I'm thinking something sort of like the traversal of early assassin's creed games with combat a bit more akin to a simple fighting game or something. Heavy Attacks, Light Attacks, and Precise Attacks in a rock-paper-scissors style thing. You could play as either of the heroes, or a variety of side characters who join them sometimes on missions. Like the aforementioned hot demon girl would use a slow axe and fire damage with a focus on control and area denial, while the wizard is more about debuffs, and speed to make way for ranged attacks.
Every game for AT has been between abysmal dogshit and forgettable shovelware. If it's going to get a bigger game, you have to at least put a real studio behind it. Let Deep Field make it if they promise not to add crafting shit.
