>>729251682It didn't help Eternals/TOG had a very definitive end and made it seem like DOOM was going to take a break. Everyone was shocked and confused wqhen they announced another one and when more news came out that the story was going to be about Eldrich Gods people became even more confused as to why this wasn't QUake since plenty of people were begging for that game to get the Doom '16 treatment.I like The Dark Ages but its release very much feels like a "Marvel making more movies after Endgame" choice.
Because it has zero in common with Doom. It's just a drawn-out compilation of whar balding millenials consider "badass", and it's just a mix of generic "metal" things and marvel tropes.
