What went so wrong?
>>
>>729250907
did they make any games for it besides the pack in horizon one?
>>
Is it an upgrade to the Quest 3S?
>>
>>729250907
no backward compatibility
>>
>>729251098
no, but as a basic steamvr headset it just works
>>
>>729250907
I might buy it for GT7
>>
>>729251301
How did they fumble this so hard?
>>
>>729251362
out of the box? can i buy one and just plug it in?
>>
>>729251362
yikes. I own the 3S alresdy but have 0 need for two mid range or worse headsets.
>>
Should've had PC support from the start
They made a shitty horizon game to push it
Shouldve been a TLOU spinoff or something like that
>>
>>729251586
You have to buy an adapter but it isn't a bad headset. You can probably find one pretty cheap now, both the headset and the adapter. The screens are OLED so it looks really good.
>>
>>729250907
Nobody said it costs more than the actual console?
>>
>>729251689
oh, guess i'll get the adapter. thanks for the heads up
>>
>>729251702
It does? Or, it was? cause it's around $400 now
>>
motion sickness
>>
>>729250907
No games worth the price
...also the price and tethered.

good, it filters the weak
>>
>>729250907
I'm still shocked that they couldn't get Half Life Alyx on the PS5 for this
>>
>>729251961
It had a bunch of options to counter this actually. It's probably one of the more comfortable headsets for that, there were several options for it. I don't know if they all carry over to the PC adapter. The eye tracking was really cool.
>>
>>729250907
limited to a no games station
>>
>>729252157
Weird that the eye tracking doesn't work on the PC for this thing
>>
VRfags will just dismiss the core problems that haven't been solved.

>locomotion is fine
>just get VRlegs
>stop being a pussy
>these are old takes

Yeah maybe because it's still a problem that $70 billion in R&D still hasn't solved. It's only still a thing because Zuck has invested so much into it otherwise no one would give a shit.
>>
>>729251961
The kayak game made me puke
>>
>>729250907
vr died
>>
>>729251702
$299 and no ram chips
>>
>>729252423
Get better genes faggot
>>
>>729252902
I'm not even the one that has a personal issue with it. I'm just telling you fanatics in denial what the problem is.
>>
not standalone when quest 3 was obliterating the market, cost MORE than the quest 3, very few exclusive games, but the biggest thing I think was lack of backwards compat with psvr1, and a lot of those games never got released for psvr2, so you would have to switch between both fucking headsets to play all of your games. It was a MESS.
>>
>>729252352
Sony just doesn't really give a fuck
It should've been PC compatible out the gate and marketed as such
It probably would've done a lot better
That and >>729253265
It needed to be compatible with PSVR1

There were other issues as well
They do not sell replacement controllers
If one breaks you have to mail it in or buy it marked up from a reseller
The exclusive selection was they bad
They ignored the franchises people would've wanted to see in VR (TLOU/Uncharted)

It is a very cool thing to experience RE4Make in VR. That alone is fucking amazing.
They didn't do enough, and clearly didn't care.
>>
You can’t even watch porn on it out of the box can you?
>>
>>729250907
I got mine at full price and the good stuff in it really is amazing but there's hardly anything to use it for.
>>
>>729253894
no, on playstation it's a heavily locked down ecosystem.
on PC you have to set up the adapter bullshit, install steam, install their special wrapper for steamvr, then install steamvr itself. After that it's a pretty standard pc headset though but it's an annoying amount of work.
>>
>>729253658
Resi 9 better work with it.
>>
>>729254367
>it's an annoying amount of work.
it's less work than installing windows or a new cpu
>>

>wired only
>was a PS5 only headset until recently
>no backward compatibility with PSVR 1 games
>no pancake lenses
>fuck all games compared to quest/PCVR
>VR just having less mainstream interest in general
>>
>>729254415
Capcom seems to be the only major company taking VR seriously
I hope you're right, I'd love another one
4Make is best in VR
It's not even close
Genuine John Wick simulator
>>
>>729250907
snoyshit garbage
doomed from the start
>>
>>729251510
I’d love to try it too but I don’t have a prostation 5, just a base model.
dunno if it’s worth it
>>
>>729254415
Assuming that its the still the same RE engine, most likely it will
This too>>729254871
Beyond dumb on their part that the games weren't backwards compatible
>>
>>729250907
VR, just like AI, was a bubble from the start that was doomed to burst eventually once enough people got duped into it and wake up too late only to find the theives made off with the chirstmas ham.

The Steam Frame is going to run circles around this and every other VR headset. Can't wait to buy mine!
