Why do games keep trying to make them into a weapon? Scythes are not practical for combat.

It's really not too far fetched if you shortened the blade, straightened it out, and made it thicker. You basically end up with one of the many weapons of east asia, some of them polearms too.

Scythes are hard carried by being the grim reapers signature weapon. Pitchfork is a devils signature weapon but has no cultural cool factor. I guess cause usually only laky devils are seen with them. They devil doesn't tend to be sown carrying a Pitchfork.
