I'm almost done with Silent Hill 2 (at Lake Toluca) and I'm wondering if Silent HIll F is worth it as its on sale until Jan 5th. I enjoyed Silent Hill 2 a lot the atmosphere graphics and sound design were amazing but what I didn't like was the annoying puzzles while being chased around with no type of health dying over and over at some points. I dont mind puzzles in general but when I'm running around in the dark with no way to heal myself with demons chasing after me it can get annoying. I'm wondering if Silent Hill F is a bit better in that regard.

The monster reacts to sound so you can take longer and be sneaky. Solved. Or just google the solution.2) Sorta boss fight? You gotta collect an item while getting attacked by it. You just gotta kill it first and RUN cause it never really dies, you just stun it for a while. It can be done no problem, but ngl I was stressed the first time I'd to do it.3) Sometimes the game makes you RUN like hell while getting chased and stun locked by a noise/light. It can be annoying, but you just dodge and dodge and run and get ready to heal if needed.I really liked the game, best new SH imo.
>>729254072SHf has very light baby easy puzzles and is almost entirely combat focused. it's very light on atmosphere and the sound design is extremely stock and generic. it's not as bad as the dark ages of SH like Downpour (in fact, it's pretty much Downpour but not 'open world' and done competently) but it's hard to recommend it to someone who loves the original games.

>>729254072Silent Hill f has a section early on where you have to find the symbols for a puzzle while enemies are walking around. The enemies respawn in that area, but there are healing items so its not that bad. There's another part later on where you are in a room observing items to find the clue while an enemy was spawned in the room. By that point you should be pretty prepared and well equipped with healing items so that isn't bad either.
