Who cares if pc gaming is dying.
These are literally the only two devices you need. Maybe a modded 3ds.

Anon all platforms are dying. GL with repairs, upgrades and replacements.

I rather wait until the Switch 2 OLED is released and replaces the LCD model along with the Steam Deck 2.0. No point in getting these right now.

Literally best setup, I'm using SD for most PC games, NS2 for Nintendo exclusives, ordered an AYN Thor for emulation/gachaslop, my 5080 PC sees less and less use everyday.
>>729266185
Correct, getting these right now seems like a dumb move, when their upgrades are a couple of years away, the only reason I did early adoption for NS2 was because of Bravely Default Remaster, I fucking love that game.

Also what if your hardware stops working? What are you gonna do then?

Go out and buy a new one.
Consumer pc hardware will be gone in the next 5 years. Nvidia already cut gpu production, and crucial got the axe. Others are focusing on supplying data centers and not consumers. Dedicated gaming systems will never go anywhere. Get more expensive, sure, but it won't disappear entirely like pc building will in the next 5 years or so.

By either 2027 or 2028, they will stop making LCD screens, OLED screens are becoming the standard. When the Switch 2 gets refreshed, that LCD screen is going this time for good since the Switch 2 was originally supposed to launch with the OLED screen as the standard, not another LCD screen. Even its features are built with OLED in mind and Samsung wants them to switch to OLED.

might be right. i mean i'm planning to buy a switch 2 in a week or so. when the oled comes i can just sell this for a few hundred and pay the rest just fine just like i did with my switch 1 oled

Does anyone why Steam recordings still don't work after a million years? Everytime I true to use steam's native recording, the video freezes after 7 seconds but still records just the audio.

I used to use DeckyRecorder but now this error message just loops endlessly when I try to use it, so idk what other options there are software-wise

Apparently, DeckyRecorder has not been updated in months and the developer gave up on it. No new alternatives readily available from the Decky store
