Since the new Divinity will just be another turn based game, there's really no point in playing their back catalog because you're interested in it. You're setting yourself up for disappointment. I'm sure disappointed after expecting a followup to Ego Draconis on announcement.If you're getting into their games now because you want to play the next ones, it's best to forget the older games exist.

I haven't played through much of Divine Divinity yet but the story in the manual was pretty intense and bleak whilst it seems like the game itself is a comedy. What happened there?
