>want to stream some games from my console with some friends mostly Switch 2 games
>get a capture card from a family member since they aren't using it (Avermedia Live Gamer Ultra)
>they bought it years ago, but oh well
>install the shit needed to stream
>black screen, but audio is still going through
>works after some time
>stream through discord is fine
>stream starts to stutter severely, reflects on the live feed
>black screen again
>try troubleshooting for a few hours, still nothing outside of brief fractions of a second of video feed
>switch all cables, including the video cable
>still nothing
>"fuck, may as well buy a new one"
>suddenly the feed is back online
>mfw
Any advice? Should I just buy a new capture card?

If your friends are under the age of 25 you could probably get away with just streaming from your phone pointed at your screen without them noticing the difference.

I use a Aver Media Portable Gamer 2 and love it. I bought 3 of them.
