>Steam down during Christmas Eve>Steam, Xbox and PlayStation down for over a hour during silksong launch while switch was only 10 minutes>PlayStation network literally in less countries than Nintendo Accounts as proven by the helldivers PC situation>PlayStation constantly hacked over periods of time>Xbox cant even do a year in review Why do people say Nintendo has shit online and services? It seems like they are never down and it always works fine when I play games online. They also have a very good site and I can buy hardware. Is it really only smash that people look at? Everything else Seems fine to me.
shitch 2 is flopping, tendie. nobody is buying anything
>>729283079>Is it really only smash that people look at?Considering that's the most important multiplayer game Nintendo has, i can see some validation here, Though that says more about smash bros' shoddy netcode than Nintendo's own services. Shit like the mario karts, splatoon and even the NSO's virtual console netplay works like a charm compared to smash bros which even with that ethernet gizmo, shit's still pissing itself while Splatoon can be played wifi mode without issues.
>>729283079Playstation didn't go down during Silksong's launch, only the eShop, Steam and Xbox did. No one bought Silksong on PS to no one's surprise
>>729283079Nintendo service is so bad no one bothers to DDOS it since it lives in that status.
>>729283120Calm down, piggy.
>has less basic online features than the 360, a console that came out twenty (20) years ago>why do people say its badIt's a conspiracy against your friends at Nintendo, surely.
>>729285715>>has less basic online features than the 360, a console that came out twenty (20) years agoCan you please explain what features? Dont say trophies or achievements cause no one gives a fuck about those. Nintendo was right all along
>>729285715Well at least it costs 1/3rd today of what xbox live cost in 2002.They kind of know its not as good
>>729283079Because there is no one playing on the switch 2, those sixty gorillion consoles sold are collecting dust
>>729283079>no romhacking support for its online games>can't even change the gray borders on its retro games>now on Switch 2 you can do it with... Gamecube?what a waste of money for a free thing on Retroarch
>>729283079>Is it really only smash that people look at?You try playing their emulated games online and see how well that goes for you if either side is even one iota off in good, comparable networks. Splatoon is their only game with decent online netcode and even that can be funky at times, everything else is a master class in how not to do netcode. Super Mario Maker 2? Basically unplayable online. F-Zero 99 has semi-regular disconnects for wi-fi players and some seriously chonky bullshit sometimes. Your most reliable games on Switch/2 are basically third-party games that host their own servers, because Nintendo's own are so unreliable that it's simply not worth it most of the time. And this isn't even getting into the severely lacking features of the NSO service itself even 8 years later. You're probably paying NSO for Splatoon, fucking around with friends on Smash, or the emulated lists and online functions in some games separate of any multiplayer. And if you are playing something else in multiplayer, it's probably a third-party F2P game like Fortnite or Warframe.
>>729283079>nintendo is the only pro consumer companyHoly based
>>729283120Still buying a Switch 2
>>729289540Why does this Mario create such anger in me? This must be how South Americans feel when they see a baby monkey.
>>729283079Because most audiences only really care about Nintendo games.>Mario, Pokémon, Zelda, etc are so well known, older generations still refer to video games as a medium as a Nintendo>even those who claim "Nintendo's their own thing" are forced to acknowledge their success>their success comes from their mix of innovation and polish>this creates a near mystic reputation>Nintendo, a corporation, does something a corporation would do>this demystifies if not shatters the image Nintendo has in some people's mind and they lash out, rightfully or not>despite the fact that the industry does the same, if not worseSuccess breeds envy.
