I'm currently playing Silent Hill F and it's truly a weird game. I think it's the best Silent Hill ever from a gameplay perspective (in the sense that you have stuff to do, whereas SH 1 ~ 3 you try your hardest to avoid confrontation with monsters to save ammo for boss fights), but it's really not very interesting as a Silent Hill game. I remember with Silent Hill 1 i was VERY interested in knowing what the fuck was going on in that town, i wanted to know what the fuck happened to Cheryl, i wanted to know about the cult there etc.In Silent Hill F i really not that interested in japanese high school drama or "oh, she doesn't wanna marry the fox guy" or whatever it is. But the game isn't half bad, they should have dropped the name Silent Hill and made just a full blown soulslike.
