Whats with dark souls giving me the itch to replay it every now and then but when I actually play it and go 70% of a run then somehow I drop it
>>
>>729285796
@grok this character but in a micro bikini
>>
>>729285796
only like 70% of the game is good so that makes sense
>>
>>729285796
i like doing thematic/meme runs like paladins from an order that can only use certain miracles and no magic, one handed noble swordman, wizard that can only cast spells and hit with his staff, etc.
>why do i give up at 70%
because my build is already finished and there is usually nothing more to add
>>
>>729285868
This doesnt happen with other souls game like ER or DS3. Theyre fantastic games but I only played them like twice each. Theres something thats pulling me to replay DS1
>>
>>729285796
The early areas of Dark Souls 1 are so good. Same with Demon's Souls.
>>
>>729285796
because ds1 is not a very good game. ds2 is significantly better and more replayable as well.
>>
>>729286164
Fighting the good fight brother. Salute
>>
>>729285796
>DS1
well the first half is arguably the most well baked
>>
>>729285796
DS is dense enough that you can try a variety of weapons and playstyles and still wrap it up in a few hours having explored a bunch of areas and slain some cool bosses whereas Elden Ring tends to be a scavenger hunt interspersed with some riding and rehashed bosses spread thin across a open wasteland. Both are great don't get me wrong but DS1 is the epitome of all killer, no filler
>>
>>729286030
Yeah, the good first 70%
>>
>>729285995
How do I start as a wizard in ds1?
>>
>>729286164
this but genuinely unironic. i know you're not "allowed" to like ds2, but it's the one i have the most fun playing of the trilogy.
>>
At least you replay it. I've replayed DS1 so many times, but I can't bring myself to do another full playthrough of ER. It's just so fucking tedious all around.
>>
>>729289018
>Trilogy
DaS and ER doesnt count now?
>>
>>729285796
You've probably played it so much you've "solved" the game. It doesn't provide fun or challenge anymore. Sorry Anon, it happens. Stay away from it for a few years and maybe next time it will feel fresh again.
>>
>>729289152
I already solved it since I picked up Black knight halberd
>>
>>729289118
>trilogy
dark souls 1, 2 and 3. seems pretty clear cut and dry to me. are you indian or something, anon?
>>
>>729289365
Yet theyre not interconnected to each other and ER/DaS are the same shit as the three. Curious!
>>
>>729289413
>DaS
ranjeet, you seem confused
>>
>>729289452
You seem upset sunil
>>
>>729289536
i mean, anyone who's not from a highly polluted third-world country can figure it out pretty quickly without any struggle. this is nowhere near as complicated of a concept as you're making it out to be.
this christmas, give yourself the gift of learning the word "trilogy"
>>
>>729289620
Oh now we are back to the issue at hand. Just poo in the loo suckdeep. Do you need money for a toilet? I can give you $1000
>>
>>729288048
Try playing the game and it'll become really fucking clear super fast
>>
>>729285995
I did a thematic run in DS1 of only using Dragon weapons. Pretty fun, especially diving down to Ash Lake as soon as i had the strength to wield the Dragon Greatsword, without resting at a bonfire so that i could avoid the climb back up. Also, there's exactly 10 Dragon Scales available before farming the drakes, so you can upgrade one weapon for each NG cycle.
>>
>>729285796
Appealing aesthetics, bad gameplay
>>
>>729285796
rags to riches is fun until you get rich
>>
>>729289118
Technically yeah, if you're roping in ER and Demon's, then it's more of a "Soulsborne" family than a trilogy. But most people shorthand "Dark Souls trilogy" to mean 1, 2, and 3 since they're literally numbered and have loosely connected lore threads (even if DS2 is the redheaded stepchild). ER and BB are more like spiritual cousins-same vibes, different universes.
