Why couldn't mobile gaming ever rise above slop?
>>729292602>slop eaters pay you for slop>keep making slopSimple as
rule of thumb is nothing solely made for normalfags will ever be goodif you wanna blame anyone for garbage, blame normalfags and those appealing to themnormie beloved shit can only be good if it wasn't intended for them and was made by a passionate creator and just happened to end up in normie spheres by chance, otherwise if they are the target audience, it'll be trash because bug people love trash
Because mobile games have to deal with shitty controller that is just a screen.
>>729292739surely there must be some pretty good puzzle and strategy games.
>>729292739Unc with skill issue
Because freemium model proved you can just feed people literal trash for "free" and they will cheer and ask for more. Also mobile platform will likely forever be designited toilet time entertainment so very few will ever bother putting out something interesting.
>>729292602Hyper aggressive monetization structure. Can't have nice things when someone can pay 4 bucks to fuck you in the ass.
>>729292602Because bad gameplay =/= lots of fucking money from turd worlders and secondaries.
>>729292602people simply refuse to buy mobile gamesyet they'll play a shitty free game and pay to get ahead in it
>>729294815Your post made me wish for a Blue Archive hero shooter
>>729293479>phantom taps>unregistered taps>no tactile feedback>display obstructed by fingers>limited real estate/controls>need another device to hold the device in order to use half of both handsno it is very shitty
>>729292602I must attest to the one good mobile game I've thought has ever had potential as a normal game. That would be Bike Race. The only thing holding it back is the shitty devs because they only interact with the game nowadays to insert some microtransactions for the holidays. If they simply used the in-game levels (of which finishing them could function as an "achievement") as a way of attaining new bike types (and removed microtransactions and ads as even possible ways to attain them) then it would be very decent.I mention this one game in particular because the skill ceiling on the game is very high and has an interesting physics engine behind it. Theres many vids online of people getting creative with user levels and it's very impressive, especially when tracking times down to 0.0001 second differences which I've personally poured a few dozen hours into.
>>729292602The platform is slop. Anyone interested in quality wouldnt use a mobile phone to play a game.
It already succeeded
