I get what you mean OP, a very long seafaring adventure where you sail from island to island solving the locals problems, I can see the resemblance. Never played DQ7 for myself though, I'm actually looking forward to the remake since it's one of the few DQ games I haven't played yet. I'm surprised they didn't go with DQ8 first, but maybe 7 was more popular in Japan or something, idk.
