It costs $340 for the console and a yearly subscription. That's literally less than a New 3DS.

It's good for young children, they will have fun with it for a year until they get older and bored with it. Gets them moving around too since all of the "games" involve a lot of movement.
Got one on black friday for my nieces and nephews and they enjoyed playing it

Surprisingly yeah, the dev tools are way more streamlined. You don’t need to sacrifice your sanity trying to get twelve different Visual C++ redistributables to play nice with it. It's still jank, but it's a manageable jank. Basically plug it in, slap on a Unity wrapper and you can start prototyping mocap stuff. Lowkey tempted to try rigging it into VRChat for the meme.
