Is it true they emit radiation levels to the point that they can cause cancer? I've been using PCSX2 lately and I realized the visuals are often bad (sawtooth, low res and grainy textures) and it can't be fixed with any filters or resolution changes, so the only way to truly experience these gen 6 and early era of games is with a CRT

No. But they aren't great for your eyes. Nothing serious, just they will degrade vision over prolonged time. We're talking needing glasses, not blindness, and over years and years.
