If the mod had only one setting and it was the most egregiously sexual and over-the-top options then the hate might be justified*, but the level of customization he offered meant you could opt in or out of whatever you wanted in the mod. Don't want bimbo Alyx with literal dripping pussy animations? Simply don't turn that part on.

*Even then, it's a mod. You have to voluntarily download it in the first place.
