Nothing else comes close. The "advanced" version is barely even an improvement, cuz upgrading it as much as the other guns would make it hilariously broken. And that godly weapon doesn't magically stop being good in Belka's hands. Maybe I'm overrating her & maybe Felicette deserves that #2 spot, but the fact remains that she costs half as much as the advanced partners and shows up in the post-stage selection far more often. You WILL have her maxed out by stage 40, and you can't lose the main game with a maxed Belka.And that brings us to Strelka, the holder of the slightly better SMG, and dear god she knows how to use it. At lvl 1, she's got the spray & pray down to an artform, and at lvl 3, she's just the fucking terminator. Easily the best partner, just more expensive than the next best.Felicette is a funny case where the sniper rifle is just way better in her hands than it'll ever be in yours. Her range is huge, her damage is high, she almost never misses her mark. Also, if you both equip sniper rifles, you can absolutely clown on bosses, cuz that's the one thing its good at while in your hands.Laica is literally the "no complaints" option. She's as good as her gun, and her gun is really good. Surprising, considering how awful the basic shotgun is.Alibina would rank higher than Laica, except her priorities are pretty fucked, and you'll find yourself asking what the hell she's doing in several situations while you're waiting for her upgrades to show up.At a glance, Enos & Bion would seem to be about the same, but when you compare them in certain clutch situations (like when they send a billion mooks at you in the span of 3 seconds, or when you're taking down those giant flying bombs), Enos will invariably have better results. Seriously Bion, you suck.

That's not a big deal after she's leveled up, but until then she'll just be continuously aiming at a sponge while a dozen enemies are nickel & diming your gate/barricade in a game where that's a legit threat.

If you guys want a a similar setting, try "Calvary Girls." It's a top down mech game with the same gameplay of wave defence. It's not the same genre but it plays more fun than Sentinel Girls, especially when you get a melee unit (control melee units yourself cause the cpu is not great at dodging)
