Control Resonant actually looks like its taking A LOT from DmC if you pay attention to his moveset.I actually think it will probably be the better game because it isn't an actual DmC game. DmC biggest problem is that its a fucking medicore game with a horrid mischaracterization that isn't worthy of its IP, with Control I at least don't have the same expectations.

The moment someone mentions having fun with this game I can only assume they mean the definitive edition which was basically capcom swooping in trying to fix as many mistakes that ninja theory made as possible. The original was a shit game and a flop (not in a million sales) and absolutely deserves being shat on endlessly.
>>729334214It works better in the context of Control because in the first game, you literally have telekinesis and can fly and you have a magic transforming weapon and all of these things are kind of just either accessory powers needed for a hack n' slash hero to work (Never forget that Dante is literally a fucking wizard who can just conjure magic circles and summon bullets, because Capcom definitely does) or a core gimmick to them. Like the more sensible route if you had them would straight up be turning into dollar store Dante or at least trying to be. I'm impressed Remedy actually put 2 and 2 together.

I remember the outrage and then playing it when it came out. It wasn't a good game. But clearly someone has attempted to salvage it. The interview of Itsuno having to teach the devs basic animation and design concepts comes to mind.

Every single time you pull Lilith out or she schlorps back in, the game switches into a cutscene. And most importantly, it's completely unnecessary. Like, I'm already playing the game and somewhat enjoying myself, why force me to stop playing so you can show me a relatively dull cutscene of what I'm already doing, AND NOT LET ME SKIP IT?God it pisses me off, especially when I'm coming off of DMC5, where every single moment where I don't have control over my character is skippable (except a few seconds specifically in m14 where V is kinda limping for a moment), even micro-cutscenes like picking up the Qliphoth parasites or inserting them can be skipped.
