This is why you never sell consoles until you transfer all data. I got a switch 2 but have a Switch Lite. I was gonna use the little as my comfy little system to play Let's Go Pikachu. I tried playing my save file on Switch 2 one time and didn't understand why the save file wasn't syncing. Turns out it's one of those save files that cannot be backed up or synced, so I said fuck that and transfers the file to the Switch 2 and shelved the Lite. You can do one emergency backup of your island for redownload tho when you boot it up.
