I want a Freespace type game where you command a squadron that's effectively the Black Lancers. Gameplay can revolve around recruiting suitable officers, focusing training on subfields of shock combat (ambushing, ramming, close range combat, etc), with the main event being operating in situ during grand battles. Fleet micromanagement is delegated officers running previously chosen strategies, who are able to go off the book depending on their skills. You control the flagship directly.Maybe there could be some kind of additional gameplay mode where you root out infiltration and spies within the fleet.
