I wasn't making any progress in Bastugun until I decided to use the girl's ship and autofire. Then suddenly the game dropped from a difficulty level of 9/10 to 6/10.Even so, I still had to practice on the stage 4 boss and the final boss. Autofire with the second ship makes life a lot easier, especially on the stage 4 boss, which is practically impossible for me with the other ships and without autofire. I can already kill both bosses, now it's just a matter of playing the game again several times until I 1cc it and move on to the next one.

Those tend to either exile themselves or just do magic shit in broad daylight because they fucking can.
