Didn't bother with the dlc after they did that shit

I enjoyed it a lot
Haven't played the DLC, heard it went off the rails in terms of difficulty, I thought the base game was perfectly balanced so I'm reluctant to invest more time into it. I beat the base game 3, maybe 4 times.

Easily. Nioh 2 is great too but i don't consider it a Souls knockoff, whereas LoP doesn't really hide the fact and just reconfigures its borrowed ideas in such a way that it still feels like its own thing

Back on release you had to buy the ability to wake up dodge, later they changed it to be part of the base moveset
As someone who beat it on release and refused to buy it, this was utterly irrelevant as the only enemy in the game that could exploit it were those firespewing shovel puppets around factory. When I replayed it earlier this year when DLC released they didn't even do the combo that resulted in guaranteed death if you got hit by it without this ability anymore, making it even more irrelevant
This is the one change schizos brought up in threads for the DLC, don't know if there was any more
