What kinda rubs me the wrong way about Cuphead bosses is that most of them are like this
>first phase: boss is normal, lots of intense attacks to dodge
>last phase: boss turns giant, only throws out one or two lazy attacks
It's not that the last phases are all bad or too easy, but it just doesn't feel right, you know? I'd expect the battles to become more intense with time, not more relaxed. A lot of the time you're factually dodging LESS stuff in phase 3 than you were in phase 1. Pic related is one of the worst examples of this, the Devil was pretty underwhelming past his first phase too.

The first phase is the one you'll be seeing the most of, so giving it the most attack variety prevents the game from getting tedious

But wouldn't it be cool if the last phases had good attack variety as well
