Is this worth playingIt looks good but has bad reviews. Usually whenever a game looks good to me I'm correct, but I'm wondering if there's something I'm missing
Its not offensive. Its just pretty basic and combat is wonkier than it looks. I really love it aesthetic wise but I barely remember the game after playing it. Do a play though though if you like the aesthetic / characters
It's a game to just have fun playing with the combat, rather than an endless cutscene movie like an average FF game. Do the time trial challenge map things too.
Shooting is kind of chonky lock on shit, and even with using a mouse and keyboard it's not very fluid or fun. Bullets magically disappear past a certain range unless you make a sniper rifle. Enemies are braindead, either running directly at you, standing still, or sniping from afar, and there's not really anything interesting done with that. It's one of the most mediocre shooters on the system. And if you're an FF7 fan, the plot is pants on head retarded and probably some of the dumbest shit in the entire franchise short of novelizations and spinoff books.

It's worth playing. I'll die on the hill it's not a bad game perse, So much as it is so aggressively, violently bland that it feels much worse than it actually is. It's a great example of that 2000's squaresoft style though. It really is asthetic. Why does Vincent have such a dripped out futuristic goth phone? It's a mystery.

Yes, it's good. Just a third person action shooter where you can mod your guns. Difficulty is decent and if you like edginess and being a chuuni, you'll like it a lot.

Still, the game takes you on a wild ride (story-wise) so it's worth giving it a shot. Remade Crisis Core is definitely much better than it used to be, as it suffered from similar problems.

I'm going to be real, it was only online where I started to see everyone trying to force this anti-edge phase back in the day. Shadow had the same fate. A lot of shit fell under some hard scrutiny for trying to be edgy.
