It's funny how fighting games always get left out of the discussion when it comes to microtransactions, day 1 dlcs, bullshit monetization, etc. because they are far and away the most egregious culprits in all of gaming. They're worse than gachas and competitive shooters with their bullshit.

unironically i like dlc buffets like this, i can take what i want and leave the rest. i didn't like games like forza that offered a car passes when i just wanted 2 or 3 of the cars in it.

Raising prices to make up for 2% of the most autistic players that would be most likely to buy it anyways is a bad pricing model, taking away the free option and just raising the price anyways is an even worse one.

The real shit is that SSFIV was a better deal than any of the shit we have gotten with the dripfeed DLC but people cried about re-releases the most.
