>>729346483I can't believe no one knows who voiced Morshu, not even the other voice actors who worked on the project or other former employees of Animation Magic. There aren't any records, no passing interactions. No advertisements recorded in that part of Maryland around the same time that he might have worked on. There's nothing but the one incidental recording session that made Morshu Morshu. Some guy has had an incredible outsized impact on the world. And he did that by recording just two lines of dialogue of almost zero consequence in a terrible game for a system no one bought. And we can't even give him credit.

The other voice actors worked on pretty much everything Animation Magic did, and they've spoken at length about what a rough enterprise it was. If they just threw one of the animators or technical staff in front of a microphone to record a few lines, someone would know about that and would have mentioned it by now. But no one does.

>>729346483Looking back, it's amazing how a character with two lines can leave such a lasting impression on people even with YTP legacy aside. His personality is portrayed so well in those two brief spastic cutscenes.

Combined with the fact that there wasn't any music baked into the cutscene, it was extremely easy, even for an amateur with a pirated copy of Sony Vegas, to isolate the inventory of sounds he makes and stitch them back together in funny ways.You could build a full library of Morshu's individual sounds as short video clips and just rearrange them without it taking up all that much space on your hard drive or being a pain to sort through to get the one you want. Morshu was a ready made tutorial for sentence mixing. And he was an especially approachable one, being that he came from a popular source for YTPs that wouldn't risk a copyright strike.
