>sister gets me Prime 1-3 artbook
>flip through it and start fiending for more prime development info
>fall down youtube hole and watch hours of engineers and artists talk about working on cameras, environments, characters, sound, encounters, and controls while pulling 80-100h crunch weeks for the majority of 2002 with pride
>developed in two years by a new studio that was losing staff due to the then founder's financial incompetence after he borderline embezzled NoA (and went on to make The Guy Game, before being sued by an underaged woman featured in the title)
>produced by Tanabe (never involved in Metroid or even played an FPS) and Miyamoto (once asked the designers, "What if Samus had a bug head?")
>hailed as one of the greatest titles of all time, was the best selling title in the series until narrowly edged out by Dread (when Switch had an install base 5x+ greater than GC)
What are some more examples of game development miracles?

Yes, there's one for both games.
Actually, if you've never looked at the developer commentary inside of Valve games I'd recommend it. Lots of cool stuff in there and you get to interact with the bubbles within the game kind of like it's a tour.
