In junior high school, I was in mid-grade. Much like I am now, I was socially awkward, couldn't tell when people were joking or being serious, I think I actually might have some high functioning autism. There was an interesting event in gym class where the teacher would tell us to do stuff, in teams of 4 or 5. Run in slow motion, moon walk to a certain point, etc, but the moment that stuck with me was when the gym teacher asked us to "Do our touchdown dance."

I had a dance that would blow everyone away, make the normies seethe, and make my mark on the cool kid list finally. I would imitate the crash bandicoot victory dance from Crash Bandicoot 2, after he clears a level and collects the crystal.

I go to the "Finish line", and with a nervous and uncertain face, proceed to flex my arms, throw my hands to my groin, pelvic thrust, low-crawl, and look at everyone behind me. Everyone was silent. "What was THAT" one of the kids asked, while the gym teacher asked me to do it again. He mistook it for butter churning.

To this day I look back at the shit I did as a kid, jerk myself around, and yelp out of embarassment. I am now 330+lbs, am medicated, still don"t know how to interact with people, and am trying to figure out what i'm going to do with my life.

i swear i get anxiety induced tourettes when i think about the retarded shit i've done even tho i know no one else remembers, i'll flinch and swear under my breathe even in public it's kinda worrying, idk if anyone notices it's mostly discreet.

other than i'm pretty well adjusted and i've done a lot of shit like you up until junior year. find a way to get over it / distance yourself from it. it's not you anymore.
