Did PGI learn fucking nothing from how people modded 5 when they made this? Just copy YAML for fucks sake. Mercs with 80 mods btfos this game so much it's not even funny. One has a full on meta economy like SCS truck simulator and the other is a linear setpiece tank shooter.

Uh actually, customers don't want to be confused by having so many options when playing a mech game. Their playtesters (lead devs mom+friend) were overwhelmed already.
Crazy how almost none of it can substantially improve the dogshit ai and shitty difficulty scaling. Adding a bajillion more mechs and parts doesn't fix the biggest issues, which makes the DLC even worse for also never fixing any of it. It's just more bandaids and sparkles on top.

My biggest gripe with mw5 is "difficulty = tonnage". I want tonnage to be totally random even in the late game missions and I want to always be forced to deploy all sorts of lights and mediums, and not just four 90-100 ton ugly fridges stuffed with lasers and heatsinks. Is Clans any different? Maybe there are some mods that fix this shit in the base game?
