Schoolgirl Hinako represents her desire to be free and to maintain her friendships with her friends, while Dark Shrine Hinako represents her desire to follow traditions and expectations, even if they harm her, or wind up killing her own sense of independence.She's really in her 20's, at her wedding, not in high school, and her friends are still alive.
