it's grown on me desu, a lot of the encounters feel tighter and more considered than hl2 the parts underground like the blackout zombie fight and needing to seal antlion holes are highlights
>>729357456I just played through it. It's alright. Idk if you'll know what I mean but there is something creepy about the way Alyx practically felates the player in eps 1 & 2. She gives me the ick. Her personality is way better and more nuanced in hl2.
I made the mistake of trying the "fire one bullet" achievement my first time through, dropped it at some train station part.

The entire game is one giant pain in the ass that doesn't progress the story at all whatsoever. Annoying ass zombines are OP and can drain your entire health bar with one grenade. Theyre constantly flinging head crabs and combine soldiers at you every second. All of the levels are just reused levels from half life 2. Alyx Is annoying as fuck and she's also weirdly horny around Gordon and keeps making sexual inuendos. If you're playing on hard difficulty you get absolutely gang raped by combine soldiers in the train escape ending. This is really bad for a valve game.
