Why are vidya remakes so soulless?
>>
>>729357508
because remaking art just simply doesn't work, a piece is made by specific mindset in a specific situation and specific culture and time, aka a lightning in a bottle
nobody sees cave paintings or ancient egyptian art and thinks "wow thats cool, if only there was a 4k 60fps movie remake.." because they subconsciously know it can't be redone at most poorly imitated

Because the goal of copyright is to steadily devalue ideas and stagnate culture by giving lifelong monopolies to publishers well beyond the lifespan of the author who didn't even create those ideas, but rather took existing ideas that were not yet covered by the increasingly overbearing umbrella of copyright.

I do think its weird that logos and branding are becoming shittier.

I think with both of these is that they want a recognizable brand.
The two dudes are not something you'd immediately recognize, while symbols tend to be, especially I like the flour having a crown that looks like wheat.
