pretty sure most people just play f2p online games like fortnite or whatever which don't require subscription.

The first time I bought a PC game at a store and got home to find out it only had a CDKey inside instead of an actual disc was the day I knew things were going to get much, much worse. It was the original Mount & Blade btw.
