I will begin my journey into the Ys series today, starting with Ys 1.

I wanted to use the high rez textures pack, but it kept putting a parabola around my character that was pretty distracting (probably a draw or shadow distance line). Oh well, the game looks more than fine with a little upscaling to be honest, and the prince's aunt is hot.

I thought I would replay Legend of Dragoon to see if it was as much of a boring game with an ESL bungled translation as I remembered it to be at release, but I ran into this a while back.https://legendofdragoon.org/projects/severed-chains/Seems like the next release is bringing all the last missing things into the project so I might as well wait. I remember that the battle animations were excruciatingly slow but also that fast forward on an emulator is iffy because of the timed nature of most commands last time I tried it in an emulator.
